My daughter is 15 years old and has been rowing with the club for 3 years. She loves being on the water and being part of the team. If you have a middle school or high school student that may be interested follow their Facebook page and look for the Learn to Row dates. Kids can try it for free to see if it is something they would like to be a part of. The kids on the team are amazing and try to build each other up to make the team stronger.

My son rowed 3 seasons with Triad United Rowing. The communication is non-existent. We were new to rowing and the parents in charge were not welcoming at all. It was very confusing for myself and my son. When I reached out to the coach about my concerns he admitted there was a problem with certain parents but said he didn’t know how to handle it. My son was supposed to be in a race and was told the day of by a teammate he was no longer rowing with no explanation from any of the coaching staff. I was told by the coach he didn’t know if my son enjoyed rowing but he never engaged with my son or made any attempts to reach out to us regarding his progress or how he was doing.

My daughter started rowing with Triad in January. It has been a great experience for her and our family. Coaches have been very supportive and encouraging.

My son started rowing with the club as a middle school novice just over a year ago. It's been a terrific experience for the whole family. The team has a very welcoming and chill vibe, while promoting responsibility, leadership, and fitness. The kids are terrific and support one another. The home regattas at Oak Hollow Lake are a lot of fun and something everyone should experience.

I never rowed with the Rowing Club here, but my interactions with them have been very positive & supportive when me & my fiancée loaded our paddleboards at this docking area. We’ve been here 2 times & there is plenty of space on the docks for both rowers & other water hobbyists! The restrooms nearby are also clean. The lake is very peaceful & the waters are generally calm during the summertime. They do have a STRICT closing time so please be aware of when that occurs, it changes every month!
